Matt has extensive experience and success representing individuals, businesses and public entities through complex environmental issues, including CERCLA (Superfund), RCRA, brownfield, wetland, air and real property rights. He is experienced at handling all aspects of state and federal environmental regulatory oversight and permitting, including creating cost effective strategies to assist clients in successfully addressing and responding to any environmental issue.

Matt's background includes representation of public and private clients through successful permit negotiations, risk-based site closure, litigation related to solid and hazardous waste impacts, brownfield redevelopment projects, and successful investigation, remediation and cost recovery of environmentally impacted sites. 

Matt's practice has focused on both assisting clients in navigating the complexities of environmental regulations and litigation as well as implementing creative and unique methods of assisting clients in funding such efforts from outside sources. On multiple occasions, Matt has successfully secured funding to investigate and remediate environmentally impacted sites while also paying for all, or nearly all, of his clients allocated portion of such related liability.
